The mission of RESCUE ONE and the BFD Special Operations Team is to
provide service above and beyond the level of basic fire suppression to
the citizens of Blountstown and the surrounding areas. RESCUE ONE
provides vehicle rescue, collapse rescue and light duty rope rescue
services.
RESCUE ONE carries a full compliment of rescue equipment featuring
American Rescue Genesis hydraulic spreaders, cutters, a mini cutter, a
telescopic ram and power unit that operates two tools at once or one
tool on "turbo". Also mounted to the Extendobed rollout is a Qwik-Cut
air hammer kit and a MatJack 127 ton airbag kit with 1- 50 ton bag, 2-32
ton bags and a 13 ton bag. For stabilization we carry two Capabear Claw
kits, four stepchocks and a full load of wooden cribbing. Finishing off
the rollout is a DeWalt 24 volt sawzall.
