On Wednesday, October 24th, BFD firefighters,
Emergystat EMS workers, BPD Officers and the
Blountstown Middle School Leadership Class
put on a mock DUI crash/extrication demo for
Red Ribbon Week. Click the picture to see more

Blountstown firefighters provide Landing Zone set up and security for three local air

In one of the hardest impacts
seen by our department, the
Toyota pickup, pictured at right
was struck in the side by a Ford
Explorer, completely separating
the cab from the frame. The
driver was airlifted to a local
hospital and later recovered.
BFD Firefighters responded to a
traffic crash with entrapment on
July 6th. The passenger was
pinned from the knees down
and inverted, making this a
particularly difficult extrication.
